Malay Dwarf Variegated (Bambusa Heterostachya CV Variegated) is an ideal bamboo plant for hedging. It is dense growing and will achieve a height of approximately 3 to 4 metres.
It also grows particularly well on coastal areas.
The hedge can be trimmed to desired height and width. This bamboo is also a good option for narrow garden beds, given its shallow root system.
